Feeding Guide:

FeedRite Trackline Mix should normally be fed to racehorses and sport horses in full work at the rate of 4kg to 7kg per day in conjunction with ad lib roughage such as good quality hay (approximately 3kg to 6kg dry matter per day).  Adjust feeding allowance according to workload and body condition, reducing feed allocation when workload is reduced or if a horse starts to gain excess bodyweight.

  • Introduce FeedRite Trackline Mix gradually over a one to two-week period.
  • Adjust feed allowance according to body condition and workload.
  • Ensure your horse receives adequate amounts of roughage (an amount of dry roughage equivalents to at least 1% or more of the horse’s bodyweight should be fed daily).
  • Make sure your horse has access to fresh clean water.
  • Do not supplement your horse’s diet with extra trace minerals, such as selenium, unless instructed to do so by a veterinarian or equine nutritionist.
